Windows Task Manager Extender February 3, 2007

Do you ever peek into the Windows Task Manager under Processes and wonder….  What are all of these processes that are running, and where are the actual files located?

I did, so I searched for a Windows Task Manager Plugin, and found the Task Manager Extender.

The best part about this is… of the processes that are running, I can see how much virtual memory they’re using, and where the files and services are actually located on the disk.  This information is instrumental in understanding which core installs are running which processes.

Steps to Install

  1. Download Windows Task Manager Extender
  2. Extract to your root directory
  3. Run TaskManagerEx.exe
  4. Start Windows Task Manager
