My Personalized License Plate June 19, 2008Posted by Sean in : License Plate , 7comments
It took a few weeks but it’s finally here!
Yes it’s true, I ordered a personalized license plate. (find your own at Service Arizona.com).
You may be thinking Sean, you aren’t the “Personalized Plate” kind of guy… What gives?
Unfortunately, not all plates are created equal… Below are some types of plates which IMHO give people with personalized plates a bad rap…
OK Let’s take “DA MAN” as an example… would you feel “silly” getting into “DA MAN’s” Car after being asked to leave your job? humiliating really.
- Plates with numeric operators..
HotGuy1 seriously folks.. If HotGuy isn’t available please respect yourself enough to pick something else.
- The plate is only significant to the driver..
What a silly premise.. If other people don’t get it… what’s the point of putting it on your car? That’s like inventing a new language that only you understand and walking around trying to talk to people.. craazy.
Of course, not all Personalized Plates are BAD. Some are very clever or even meaningful to a larger audience.
Why I chose to get a personalized plate…
- Contribute revenue for our great state.. (additional $75)
- Make a statement about the importance of being an Organ Donor.
- To see what would happen.
- It makes me smile
Archival Methods and Updates
- I’ve added a new category to the Blog called “License Plate” to track any comments, glares, high fives, or raw eggs etc..
- I also submitted my plate to CoolPl8z.com (yes, I’m a dork)
Alternative Fuel Methodology from MIT CANES June 18, 2008Posted by Sean in : Fascinating! , add a comment
Check out this Alternative Fuels Article from MIT…
In conclusion, it is found that the concept of alternative liquid fuels produced from nuclear hydrogen and captured carbon dioxide is viable. There is abundant CO2 for use and the hydrogen can be produced with proven technology.
There is also evidence that nuclear power can be utilized in the production of oil from sand and shale.
What does this mean for us?
The Smart Guys at MIT can help reduce symptoms of global warning and dependance on foreign oil.
Right on MIT, Right on.

Thoughts on Religion June 8, 2008Posted by Sean in : Rant! , add a comment
Excellent Quote today…
There is no religion without love, and people may talk as much as they like about their religion, but if it does not teach them to be good and kind to man and beast, it is all a sham.

Lead = Violence… June 1, 2008Posted by Sean in : Rant! , add a comment
A Reuters article reports that Lead is Linked to Adult Crime and Brain Damage
Those with high lead levels before birth and during early childhood had higher rates of arrest than those with lower lead levels. About 55 percent of the now-grown children had at least one arrest, 28 percent involving drugs and 27 percent serious motor vehicle violations.
I think this is a long shot.. I would like to know more about the arrest records of the control group. What is a serious motor vehicle violation? fatalities? injuries? parking tickets?
