I got a Blendtec Blender!!!

 Blendtec Blender 3hp

I got the blender from Scott at Costco for $379.00 plus tax.  That’s $20.00 less than the blendtec web site.

Blendtec is famous for their “will it blend?” commercials which ask this question for various “non-blendable” products like  golf balls, glow sticks, a tape measure (my favorite) and much much more.  The commercials put founder Tom Dickson in a white lab coat with saftey goggles demo’ing his high powered blender…  how cool is that?Anyhow, the new blender has a home next to my $26 coffee pot.

Q: How can you justify spending $410.00 (including tax) on a blender?
A: I’m currently $350.00 upside down in this blender.  (My last blender was $60.00 at Target).

My Plan:
Write a new blog post for each beverage/soup/coffee drink I blend and estimate the savings until I reach 350.00.  Each blog article will include a rating of the results of the blender and my satisfaction with each beverage/soup/coffee drink I make… If the rating is 4 stars or better, I’ll share the recipe… and the blender setting I used…  Sound Good?  I think so.

First Recipe
Rating: 4 stars out of 5
Type: Drink
Name:Coffee & Ibarra Blended Drink
Recipe: 1 tab Ibarra per 24oz hot coffee.
Directions: Pour Coffee (Trader Joe’s Super Dark) over 1 tab Ibarra Chocolate & blend using the “Soup” setting.

So… it was a hot drink you made?
Hot in a blender is hard to imagine… not sure why. Cool stuff. Keep the blender recipes comin! 🙂
