I like this one…

Let my name stand among those who are willing to bear ridicule and reproach for the truth’s sake, and so earn some right to rejoice when the victory is won.

Hard Times December 22, 2007

I made a hard decision and I’m standing by it. It’s tough and I’m sad and I know it’s a matter of time before it gets better, but I know it gets better.  I know there’s nothing more I can do right now. My mind doesn’t stop bothering me with new ideas to satiate my sadness (nothing helps). Discipline, conviction, and strength are born from despair but my decision was made before it got bad enough to want to stay away.  What a mess.

Here’s a Poem by Bob Schneider

MARCH
i’ll hold onto this sadness
as long as god let’s me
and treasure each fragrant drop
pour it over my heart
and wash myself clean

What Happens When We Lose Sight of Kindness May 11, 2007

When kindness has left people, even for a few moments, we become afraid of them as if their reason had left them. When it has left a place where we have always found it, it is like shipwreck; we drop from security into something malevolent and bottomless.Willa Cather (1873-1947)
